Dear openSAP community,
It’s time to unleash the courses that are now available for enrollment and start in September, as well as the latest openSAP Invites podcast. Three new courses are coming your way with Guide Your SAP S/4HANA Project to Success, Planning with SAP Analytics Cloud, and From Media Computation to Data Science. If you haven’t yet explored our openSAP Podcasts, you’ll find a variety of topics which might interest you. The latest episode is Mastering the Art of Lifelong Learning with VR Ferose, SAP Academy for Engineering.
Guide Your SAP S/4HANA Project to Success
In this course, you’ll get answers to some of the commonly asked questions from customers when they consider and plan a move to SAP S/4HANA. It starts with topics your customers must consider when transitioning to SAP S/4HANA, such as the key differences between legacy SAP ERP capabilities and the new streamlined SAP S/4HANA Finance process, and innovation topics to showcase the value you get from transitioning to SAP S/4HANA. The course will also include demos of some of the available innovations to help you to prepare for your journey to SAP S/4HANA. The course starts September 9 and enrollment is now open.
Planning with SAP Analytics Cloud
This course will focus on the planning capabilities of SAP Analytics Cloud, starting with the foundations and an introduction to the core planning features. You’ll learn about the modeling environment to create planning models and import data, as well as the standard planning features available in the story. Advanced planning capabilities like value-driver trees, data actions, advanced formulas, and allocations are covered in detail too. You’ll also learn about Smart Predict, an environment to create and train predictive models. You can get practical experience with SAP Analytics Cloud by signing up for a free trial account to complete the guided hands-on exercises. The course starts September 15 and enrollment is now open.
From Media Computation to Data Science
For those of you interested in learning more about Snap! and programming in a fun way, this course is for you. Media Computation is a new way to learn general purpose programming by playing with the ingredients of your favorite pictures, music, movies, and books. You’ll learn how to analyze, transform, and generate multi-media content using a programming language rather than a word processor, photo editor, or music mixer. And then you just use it on data. This course aims to bridge the gap from introductory programming to more advanced computational competencies. The course starts September 22 and enrollment is now open.
openSAP Invites Thought Leaders Podcast: Mastering the Art of Lifelong Learning
Listen to the latest episode from openSAP Invites Thought Leaders with VR Ferose, Head of SAP Academy for Engineering. In addition to his role at SAP, Ferose is Chairperson on the Board of Specialisterne USA, a not-for-profit foundation with the goal of creating one million jobs for people with autism and similar challenges, and the founder of the non-profit India Inclusion Foundation, which aims to bring the topic of inclusion to the forefront in India. Ferose joins us to talk about his love of learning – instilled in him from an early age by his parents, who taught him that the true wealth of a household is measured by the books in the house, not by the money in the bank – and about his approach to learning and the application of knowledge as part of his role at SAP.
