Why will the openSAP platform be discountinued?

Following SAP’s strategy of consolidating learning sites to unify learning and simplify the user experience, the SAP Learning site will be your destination for learning and development at SAP moving forward. Accordingly, openSAP content will be integrated into learning.sap.com and the openSAP platform will be discontinued.

When will the openSAP platform be discontinued?

The openSAP platform will be discontinued in July 2024.

Where can I find openSAP courses in the future?

By the end of the first half of 2024, a selection of openSAP courses will be migrated to the SAP Learning site, where they will be available for you in self-paced mode. We'll migrate content that is still valid and in high demand, and which matches the SAP Learning portfolio.

Until when will courses be available on the openSAP platform?

Courses which will be integrated into the SAP Learning site will remain available to learners on openSAP until the migration in July 2024. We’ll disable content in retired courses on January 15, 2024.

Will there be new courses on openSAP in 2024?

A few new courses will run on openSAP in the first half of 2024.

Is it still possible to buy and redeem reactivation codes?

Due to the migration to the SAP Learning site, it is no longer possible to buy and redeem reactivation codes.

Until when can I access or download my documents?

You can download your records of achievement and confirmations of participation until mid July 2024. Afterwards, you will no longer have access to your documents, so make sure to save them in time for future reference. Please note that digital badges will no longer work once the platform is discontinued.

Once the platform is discontinued, verification links in records of achievements and digital badges will no longer work. The same applies to any social shares (for example references to openSAP in your LinkedIn profile). 

What will happen with my openSAP profile and learning progress?

Your openSAP profile will no longer be available once the platform is discontinued. You will also no longer have access to your learning progress. All personal data will be deleted in a GDPR-compliant way.

What will happen with the openSAP mobile app?

The support for the openSAP mobile app has ended and the app is no longer available for download in the App Store and the Google Play Store. Already installed versions of the app are still working and can be used as long as the openSAP platform is available. We recommend using a browser to learn on your mobile device.

What will happen with the openSAP community missions?

SAP Community missions and badges have been retired as of November 27, 2023, due to the migration to a new platform. Therefore, it is no longer possible to complete openSAP missions. SAP Community introduced a new gamification system, and you can read more in this blog post.

What will happen with openSAP Microlearning?

openSAP Microlearning remains available as is. The long-term plan is to also integrate openSAP Microlearning into the SAP Learning site.

What will happen with openSAP Podcasts?

Our podcast platform will stay available for you as is for now. There will be a change in the URL over the next weeks. A redirect will be in place, so nothing will change for you and there’s no action required from your side.

Where can I sign up to find free SAP learning content now?

Free learning content is available on the SAP Learning site, including a selection of openSAP courses which will be migrarted in July 2024. Explore free learning journeys, prepare for SAP Certifications, and stay up-to-date with the course migration. Don't forget to sign up to save your learning progress.
