Course Summary

In recent years, the world has seen many different challenges disrupting global supply chains. Transforming business to resilient supply chains has become a key differentiator for successful enterprises across industries. To tackle these demands and enable the transformation, SAP created and evolved several solutions like SAP S/4HANA to support its customers. In the area of logistics, SAP strengthened its solution portfolio for the delivery of goods by integrating the standalone SAP Transportation Management and SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions into the core of SAP S/4HANA to harmonize transport processes across the various warehouse solutions, thereby replacing the well-known SAP ERP Logistics Execution modules LE-TRA and LE-WM.

This course will help you understand the transformation from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA for the Logistics Execution modules and how to leverage the benefits of the change.

The course begins with an introduction to the new Transportation Management and Extended Warehouse Management modules for SAP S/4HANA. In the second week, you’ll learn about the approach and the tools you can use for the transformation to the new modules. You’ll also discover the differences between the logistics modules in SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA and learn about the new best practice process for Advanced Shipping and Receiving, including a system demonstration. Finally, some of the advanced features of Transportation Management and Extended Warehouse Management for SAP S/4HANA will be explained.
This course is designed to provide an overview of the most important aspects of the transformation from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA in logistics. It does not provide detailed information about how to implement the Transportation Management or Extended Warehouse Management modules for SAP S/4HANA, or about any specific functionalities.

In this course, SAP TM/TM or SAP EWM/EWM will be used as abbreviations for SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain for transportation management and SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain for extended warehouse management. The system demonstrations will be performed in an SAP S/4HANA 2022 system with embedded TM and EWM.
