Course Summary

Climate change is one of the most significant challenges facing the world today, and addressing it requires a coordinated effort from individuals, organizations, and governments. One way to do this is through climate action and carbon accounting. Climate action refers to the efforts taken to address climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing their impact on the environment. In this matter, carbon accounting is crucial in the fight against climate change, as it provides a way to monitor and measure greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon accounting involves quantifying the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere as a result of human activities. It is an essential part of climate action, as it helps to identify areas where emissions can be reduced and managed effectively.

In this course you’ll learn about the main challenges that businesses undergo regarding climate action. You’ll also learn what SAP's role is as a sustainability exemplar and as an enabler. And last, but not least, you’ll understand how SAP Sustainability Footprint Management helps businesses in measuring their carbon footprint to assist in their decarbonization objectives.
