Course Summary

In our previous courses, “Key Technical Topics in a System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA” and “Key Functional Topics in a System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA” we focused on the technical and functional aspects you need to manage during a system conversion. With “Guide Your SAP S/4HANA Project to Success” in 2020 we answered some of the most commonly asked questions from customers who are planning to transition to SAP S/4HANA.

This course is targeted at functional experts in the area of customer and vendor master data, particularly consultants in brownfield SAP S/4HANA projects. For consultants in greenfield projects, parts of the customizing in SAP S/4HANA are of interest too.

The course will focus on the steps involved in introducing the business partner master data in an SAP ERP system before the system conversion to SAP S/4HANA, as well as the necessary post-conversion steps in SAP S/4HANA. It doesn´t repeat the basics of the business partner as a strategic master data object or its data model, topics which were covered in previous courses.

The first units will give an overview of the phases before you reach SAP S/4HANA. They also cover the tools provided to guide you and help you improve the quality of your master data as a prerequisite for a smoother introduction of the business partner.

The following units will talk about system customizing and related business decisions that need to be made, for example regarding the business partner master data number ranges. Once everything is set up, we´ll reveal how to go through the major step of synchronizing customer and vendor master data to business partners to be ready for conversion to SAP S/4HANA. Finally, we’ll show the necessary customizing steps directly after the technical conversion to SAP S/4HANA and provide references to further helpful information for your convenience.
