Join this free online course to learn how to adapt classic applications in SAP S/4HANA Cloud using SAP Screen Personas. The course also includes a short section to review how to adapt SAP Fiori apps with SAPUI5 flexibility, as well as an optional week on using SAP Screen Personas in on-prem environments.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is SAP`s flagship cloud ERP product that provides customers with broad and deep functionality. To meet an organization’s unique requirements, you may want to adapt certain screens to simplify them, focus the screen for a specific role, or improve usability. For the past decade, SAP Screen Personas has allowed customers to personalize classic ERP transaction screens to improve user productivity, reduce training time, and increase data quality. This functionality has now been brought to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
This course will provide you with the information you need to adapt classic application screens in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. You’ll learn about the core editor functionality, how to combine information from multiple tabs, and how to use templates to add common elements to your screens. The course will cover scripting, which allows you to automate keystrokes, move data between screens or even transactions, and use events to trigger actions. We’ll also discuss advanced topics such as creating adaptive designs and integrating external content into your screens. Finally, you’ll discover the administration side: everything you need to make sure the right people can access the simplified screens you create for them.
For SAP Fiori apps that are shipped with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, you can adapt those screens with SAPUI5 flexibility. In the final week of the course, you’ll learn how to extend a standard SAP Fiori app to meet your specific needs using SAPUI5 flexibility. In this way, you’ll have a full understanding of how to adapt any screen you encounter in your SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
For customers and partners who use SAP Screen Personas with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, on-prem SAP S/4HANA, or SAP ERP systems, the course includes an optional section that discusses how to apply the course materials to these environments. This section will cover how to install the add-on, integrate flavors into the SAP Fiori launchpad, and the differences in some administration topics. You’ll also learn about the Slipstream Engine, which is only available with the SAP Screen Personas add-on and not for the version that is pre-installed in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
This is a hands-on course for business analysts, developers, consultants, and anyone who builds SAP Screen Personas flavors or needs to adapt screens. We recommend you practice using the examples and perform the exercises to reinforce the learning in the course.
Here is what some participants are saying about the course:
"Very well put together! I fully agree with what someone else already said; the units and videos had perfect length. We got all the important information plus a demo. Really well paced course over all, thank you! (I'm especially happy because so many openSAP courses have 20+ vids and I end up watching only half the units cause there is just now time)." "I liked the hands on exercises. This was the first openSAP course I have taken with "hands-on" exercises. That was great! Read the original post
"Great course. Thank you for this very well-prepared and structured course. I enjoyed especially the possibility to check and test the course topics directly in the S4 cloud system." Read the original post
"I like that the course videos were relatively short. I really liked how most of the videos were less than 15 minutes in length. It's really hard to sometimes give up a full 30+ minutes to watch a video in the middle of the workday, but it's much easier to commit to 15 minutes at a time. It makes the course more manageable and doable. Read the original post
