Course Summary

Since our first course, Imagine IoT in 2016, the Internet of Things has rapidly evolved.

This course shows you how IoT can help the world run better and improve people’s lives. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a key enabler of the Intelligent Enterprise, where data enables intelligence which feeds process automation and ultimately, innovation. The focus of this course is on the latest IoT innovations, specifically around Industrial IoT solutions. The “Industrial” part is important because it means a focus on smart connected operations for creating products and services that deliver better business outcomes from connected things.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of the Internet of Things (such as sensors, the cloud, and more) and be introduced to SAP’s latest IoT offerings in the cloud and at the Edge. You’ll also learn how IoT can support digital transformation and enhance and extend existing business processes and solutions.

This course includes all new content concentrated on the latest IoT trends that shape our lives and change the way we work, including related topics such as Edge processing, IoT business process integration, the evolution and of IoT and industry 4.0 and the importance of 5G networks for IoT.

This is an openSAP nutshell course, designed to present you with the most up-to-date information on IoT at SAP. The course will walk you through several use cases and many demo scenarios to show the power of IoT.

The course is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about the latest trends and innovations around industrial IoT. No prior knowledge is needed.
