Course Summary

SAP Fiori launchpad is a shell which hosts SAP Fiori apps, and provides those apps with services such as navigation, personalization, embedded support, and application configuration.

Other openSAP courses explain how to develop an SAP Fiori application and how to work with the SAP Fiori launchpad. This course will show you how the SAP Fiori launchpad works. You’ll be introduced to the diagnostic tools, and you’ll learn how to troubleshoot errors when launching a tile, as well as how to diagnose navigation, translation, cache, and transport issues. You’ll see a live demo from the instructors on how to use the Chrome debugger to troubleshoot SAP Fiori launchpad as well a live demo on how translation works. The course includes additional demos on replication, transports, and more.

John Taylor

John Taylor is a senior technical support engineer with SAP Mobility and Fiori, and has a background in development, testing, and business analysis. He joined SAP in 2011 as a product support engineer in Mobility, specializing in APIs. John has been working in the SAP Fiori launchpad and SAPUI5 areas since 2016. He is also a regular contributor on SAP Questions & Answers, and in the SAP Wiki space. When not assisting customers, John can be found in an IDE or on the nearest ski slope!

Hunter Young joined SAP in 2015 as a product support engineer in SAP Mobility and Fiori after graduating with a degree in Information Security and Assurance. He began working with mobile products such as SAP Afaria, but later transitioned to SAP Fiori launchpad, SAPUI5, and SAP Smart Business in 2016. Hunter has also developed several internal tools for the support organization in addition to mentoring interns and developing training programs. When not at work, he can usually be found tinkering with electronics or out sailing his boat.
