Course Summary

SAP Business ByDesign is a cloud-based ERP solution, which delivers integrated and insight-driven business processes for small and mid-size companies. Built-In Analytics is the essential capability of this solution, driving transparency and delivering analytical insights as an integrated part of your business processes out-of-the-box. Customers get contextual information to make better decisions at the point where the job gets done. This allows decision makers to understand root causes, business trends, success drivers, and critical situations based on the integrated business data generated by your business processes.

In this course, you’ll learn how business users consume analytical insights such as KPIs and reports and analyze the related processes and details. You’ll also learn how a key user can create and adapt analytical assets such as data sources, reports KPIs according to the business needs of their company. Finally, you’ll understand how analytics can be extended, data can be exposed, and information can be enriched intelligently using third-party integration.

This course is a new and updated version of the previous openSAP course, Reporting with SAP Business ByDesign, introducing the new features and UIs that have been created with the transition to HTML5

Jan Matthes

Jan Matthes is chief product manager and head of Product Management for SAP Business ByDesign. Besides leading the overall strategy, he is a subject matter expert in various topic like CRM, mobility, customer analytics, data privacy, and integration to 3rd party marketing, sales, and service applications.

Before rejoining the SAP Business ByDesign Product Management team, Jan worked as area product owner, driving various topics in SAP CRM and SAP Marketing Cloud. From 2005 until 2012 he defined, designed, and drove various areas in SAP Business ByDesign CRM as a topic owner and product management lead.

Raffael Lutz

Raffael Lutz is a software developer for analytics in SAP Business ByDesign and has been working in the area of analytics for several years. Prior to this, Raffael worked in SAP NetWeaver development, contributing to the ABAP RESTful Programming Model.
