Course Summary

Learn how SAP Transformation Navigator provides SAP customers with clear guidance to chart their digital innovation path. The navigator is a complimentary, self-service tool, which guides you through your digital transformation by generating a product roadmap of recommended SAP products and solutions tailored to your business.

SAP customers and partners can access the navigator with their SAP S-User ID credentials. Share your current IT landscape (information is automatically derived from the customer profile) and select your business and IT priorities, and the navigator will analyze your current product landscape and create a custom product map. This shows your current and recommended SAP products and specific transition type, and depicts a list of the required transformation projects. The navigator generates a set of guides providing the business, technical, and transformation views.

The Business Guide depicts SAP’s take on the industry’s breakthrough trends and strategic objectives, the summary of the customer’s business capability preferences, and their value driver aspirations. It also offers change management, business case and realization tracking way forward.

In the Technical Guide, we cover the digital framework and reference landscape outlook, summarize the customer’s go-to guidance on the currently used applications, and list advanced system and landscape analysis options.

The Transformation Guide presents overall transformation scenarios and SAP services, summarizes the customer’s transition heatmap and prioritization, and outlines the planning, timeline, and way forward.

These guides, along with information about transition services, solution integration, and a value-based business case, provide the perfect starting point for your digital transformation journey.

Wiebke Thelo

Wiebke Thelo heads the SAP Roadmaps team. In her role, she is responsible for providing clear guidance to SAP’s customers for their digital transformation, as well as best-in-class product and solution roadmaps for all SAP’s assets.

The SAP Roadmaps team is the business owner for several self-service tools like the SAP Transformation Navigator and SAP Solution Explorer, as well as for all assets published on SAP’s Roadmap page.

Wiebke holds a master degree in economics and an MBA of Mannheim Business School and ESSEC.

Susanne Schneider

Susanne Schneider is the product owner of two self-services for customers and internal users focusing on optimization and transformation: Innovation Discovery and SAP Transformation Navigator.

She has been part of an internal tools and services team since 2010 and is also a Design Thinking Coach, making this methodology central to requirements engineering and implementation.

Marty Etzel

Marty Etzel is responsible for internal communications and enablement within the Digital Transformation Office, where he works to provide high quality content, processes, and inspiration to help customers with their own digital transformation.

This team also directly supports all Industry Value Engineering (IVE) teams globally, in addition to working across all customer-facing teams within SAP.

Cornelius Clauser

Cornelius Clauser is head of the Productivity Consulting Group (PCG), an internal improvement team. Previous SAP roles include Chief Process Officer (CPO). Cornelius joined SAP in 2011, and was initially in charge of the Productivity & LEAN team that drove Agile implementation in the SAP idea-to-market process.

Prior to joining SAP, he spent 9 years with Porsche Consulting as a partner in charge of internal improvements at Porsche and Volkswagen, including machinery, healthcare, knowledge worker productivity, and office concepts. Before this, he spent five years with McKinsey & Company, primarily in the automotive industry working for OEMs and suppliers in all triad regions.

Cornelius holds a Masters degree in computer science and an MBA, attained in Mannheim, Los Angeles, and Manila.

Peter Klee

Peter Klee is the chief service architect in the Digital Business Services organization. His responsibilities span from development of the strategic planning services to working directly with customers on their digital transformation journeys.

Peter joined SAP in 2011, and was initially in charge of reshaping the SAP MaxAttention service portfolio towards engagement-driven deliveries.

Prior to SAP, he spent 18 years with Gillette and Procter & Gamble, holding various positions within their Global Business Services organization. His focus areas were SAP implementations, business intelligence, and enterprise architecture.

Peter holds a master’s in computer science from Karlsruhe (KIT).
