During the popular course, System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA, learners expressed an interest in focusing on the technical and functional aspects of system conversion. This course will provide learners with a more detailed look at the technical topics and we’ll provide a separate course focused on the functional topics, as well as demos where possible.
The SAP S/4HANA Regional Implementation Group supports customers on their journey to SAP S/4HANA with their focus on customers transitioning to SAP S/4HANA who have chosen a system conversion approach. The topics in this course were selected based on the project experiences and frequently asked questions.
In this course, we’ll focus on the technical aspects of a system conversion. This will help you better prepare yourself and make you aware of the new tooling available.
In the first week, we’ll present the technical tools and the changes SAP introduced to better support the ecosystem to transition to SAP S/4HANA. As well as covering the technical tools, the units focus on required changes to the authorization and the upgrade strategy.
In week 2, we’ll take a very close look at User Experience. It is a key element for a successful conversion to SAP S/4HANA and is often neglected. This week should help you to set up the foundation and enable the on-going adoption of new innovations.
Week 3 takes a closer look at the adoption of custom code. The team will present some new tools and explain how you can adopt relevant custom code to the new data model in SAP S/4HANA.
In the final week of the course, you'll learn more about the SAP Analytics space and how a system conversion impacts analytics and SAP BW. After a short introduction, the colleagues will focus on potential impacts on SAP BW, planning, and actual system demonstrations, showing things in an SAP S/4HANA system.
