Course Summary

In our previous courses, “Key Technical Topics in a System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA” and “Key Functional Topics in a System Conversion to SAP S/4HANA” we focused on the technical and functional aspects you need to manage during a system conversion. With “Guide Your SAP S/4HANA Project to Success” in 2020 we answered some of the most commonly asked questions from customers who are planning to transition to SAP S/4HANA.

This course is targeted at technical experts and explains some of the most important aspects to consider and execute during a system conversion.

The course begins with an explanation of the technical activities required in the source SAP ERP system in preparation for the conversion. This includes deploying tools and corrections for both technical and functional checks required for activities later on in the system. We’ll also dive deeper into SAP Readiness Check, the simplification item checks, and outline what needs to be done to adapt your custom code.

The focus then moves on to executing the actual technical upgrade with tools such as Maintenance Planner and Software Update Manager.

Following this, we’ll explain the configuration required after the Software Update Manager run in order to benefit from innovation. You’ll learn how to activate and leverage these innovations, which are delivered via the SAP Fiori user experience, including the quick wins of embedded analytics.

The course concludes with some configuration and examples for activating Intelligent Enterprise scenarios delivered as part of and extending the SAP S/4HANA solution.
