Course information

Course Summary

This course is a repeat of last year’s course with the inclusion of new information in the handout material. You’ll also have the opportunity to access a hands-on system in the course.

The course takes a detailed look at the technical topics involved in a system conversion to SAP S/4HANA and presents the new tooling available. It is brought to you by the SAP S/4HANA Regional Implementation Group, who support customers on their journey to SAP S/4HANA. The topics in the course were selected based on project experiences and frequently asked questions.

In the first week, we’ll present the technical tools and the changes SAP introduced to better support the ecosystem to transition to SAP S/4HANA. As well as covering the technical tools, the units focus on required changes to the authorization and the upgrade strategy.

In week 2, we’ll take a very close look at User Experience. It’s a key element for a successful conversion to SAP S/4HANA and is often neglected. This week should help you to set up the foundation and enable the on-going adoption of new innovations.

Week 3 takes a closer look at the adoption of custom code. The team will present some new tools and explain how you can adopt relevant custom code to the new data model in SAP S/4HANA.

In the final week of the course, you'll learn more about the SAP Analytics space and how a system conversion impacts analytics and SAP BW. After a short introduction, the team will focus on potential impacts on SAP BW, planning, and actual system demonstrations, showing things in an SAP S/4HANA system.
