Course Summary

More and more often, professionals are being asked to provide video recordings of themselves. The increase in remote work means that many people will need to record these videos at home.

This course will provide you with practical tips so that you can present yourself in the best way possible when recording videos at home. Video is a unique medium, and different to presenting live. There are many elements to focus on to get your message across effectively. You need to think not only of the content you’re presenting, but also the technical aspects of video production and how presenting in a video differs from other presentation modes.

In this course, you’ll learn how to set up your camera, which settings to choose, why audio is so important in remote scenarios, and how to make your video sound great. We’ll also show you how to do a screen capture with voice-over and webcam, which can be applied to creating a microlearning, showcasing a new concept, or even reviewing documents. As many people are using collaboration tools for their recordings, we’ll also offer tips for recording yourself with Zoom.

We recommend this course for anyone planning to record themselves from home.
