Course information

Course Summary

Product compliance, customer individualization, disruptive supply chains, changing demand, sustainability requirements; all these challenges influence how new products are designed in process industries. To manage these challenges, product development processes need to be streamlined and made agile and transparent while the products as such become more variable and stock keeping units inflate. Product developers need to consider multiple requirements when formulating a new product, while always reducing time to market. They need tools that support and accelerate their daily work in this fast-changing, innovative environment. End-to-end digitalization in product development helps them achieve this goal.

This course will show you how to enrich product development processes using intelligent and collaborative tools to formulate improved or brand-new products in process industries.

In this course, you’ll learn how teams can work together efficiently from idea to market with a clear focus on the DEFINE and DEVELOP stages. You’ll understand how to identify requirements and map these to future products. You’ll also learn how to identify cost drivers early on, and how the efficient management of R&D projects helps to see the workload ahead. In addition, the course will guide you through the process of creating the detailed product specification, the development of compliant recipes, and finally, the handover to manufacturing.
