SAP Fiori for iOS - An Introduction

In May 2016 SAP and Apple announced their partnership, combining Apple’s world-renowned user experiences with SAP’s unparalleled end-to-end business processes and software.

In this course you will get an introduction and overview about the impact of the Apple and SAP partnership. We will give you insights into the SAP Fiori for iOS design language, which extends the SAP Fiori design foundation for a native iOS experience and provide an outlook about the SAP HANA Cloud Platform* SDK for iOS that will be delivered in 2017.

This course does not offer practical development exercises. Our aim is to provide insights about the roadmap and the tools for mobile development for iOS in an early stage. If you aim to practice, please check out the subsequent openSAP course SAP Fiori for iOS - Build Your First Native Mobile App.

This partnership opens up new opportunities, revolutionizing the mobile work experience for customers, allowing companies and developers to make a difference in the digital world. It will enable developers to quickly build their own native apps for Apple devices like iPhone and iPad – taking advantage of all the innovative iOS technologies.

In this course you will get an introduction and overview about the impact of the Apple and SAP partnership.

We will give you insights into the SAP Fiori for iOS design language, which extends the SAP Fiori design foundation for a native iOS experience and provide an outlook about the SAP HANA Cloud Platform SDK for iOS that will be delivered in 2017.

This course does not offer practical development exercises. Our aim is to provide insights about the roadmap and the tools for mobile development for iOS in an early stage. Normen Rosch

Normen Rosch is a User Experience Researcher at SAP SE. He supports product teams in strategic areas in leveraging design research to build outstanding products while adopting SAP’s latest design innovations.

Normen lead the research activities for the SAP Fiori for iOS showcase apps. With a background in product management for consumer mobile apps, he focuses on balancing user-centered desirability with technical feasibility and economic viability to achieve product success.

Michael Krenkler

Michael Krenkler is a user experience design expert with the Global Design team at SAP SE. He started his career in SAP in 2005 in Supply Chain Management focusing on interaction design, user research and visual design, followed by the Breakthrough and Research Department for ByDesign, where he was one of the first key experts for Mobile Solutions in the Cloud, holding various trainings and lectures internal and externally.

Michael later continued in HPA Hana Applications designing front-runner consumer grade applications, before he joined the Global Design Concepts team in 2015.

Sami Lechner

Sami Lechner is a director in Product Management for SAP Mobile Technologies. With over two decades of experience in the mobile industry, he has a wealth of knowledge ranging from low-level modem code to comprehensive mobile enterprise solutions.

Sami collaborates closely with SAP engineering teams to develop and enhance the mobile technology stack, enabling SAP teams, partners, and customers to create robust enterprise mobile solutions.
