SAP Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA

The course will introduce the renewed concepts and possibilities when SAP BW is powered by SAP HANA. We’ll introduce the major guiding points and semantics of a data warehouse and demonstrate them in a business scenario, directly in the system. You will learn and experience the latest developments, with SAP BW 7.4 powered by SAP HANA, as well as opportunities for real-time data integration and agile data modelling. We will demonstrate what it means to consume the data via a data warehouse and show you how SAP HANA helps to speed up data analysis.

We’ll also introduce the planning capabilities based on SAP BW, which is a unique combination of reporting and planning on the same platform.

Course Summary

SAP Business Warehouse (BW) continues to serve as a powerful data warehouse to consolidate data, harmonize master data and provide flexible reporting scenarios. Introducing SAP HANA as database underneath SAP BW was a major breakthrough in various core areas for data warehousing. With the combination of a rich data warehousing application and a fast in-memory database, we’ve seen architectural simplification, performance improvements and new modelling experiences.
