Course Summary

SAP and Microsoft have been partners for over three decades. The two companies announced an expansion of an existing strategic partnership to accelerate the adoption of SAP S/4HANA on Microsoft Azure, to integrate Microsoft Teams with SAP business applications, and to accelerate innovation through the integration of SAP Business Technology Platform and Microsoft Azure capabilities. This builds on a joint commitment to simplify and streamline the customer journey to the cloud.

This course explains the advantages of the partnership through practical examples and technical deep dives. To make the content as tangible as possible, we’ve highlighted capabilities of both SAP Business Technology Platform and Microsoft Azure. The goal is to outline how application integration, extensibility, and data-to-value use cases could be developed to deliver business outcomes to customers.

The course also contains optional hands-on exercises for those who are interested in trying out some of the scenarios.

Anirban Majumdar is head of the Platform Adoption & Advisory (PAA) team in the Technology & Innovation unit at SAP. He leads a talented team of engineers, architects, and business experts who solve complex technology problems and create architecture best practices to help customers and partners adopt SAP Business Technology Platform. ​

Anirban joined SAP in 2008 and has contributed to product development, engineering leadership, and strategy in various capacities within the Technology & Innovation board area. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.​

Sivakumar N is a vice president in the Platform Adoption Advisory team within the T&I COO unit. He is responsible for strategic projects and customer engagements to drive the adoption of SAP Business Technology Platform. 

Siva leads teams of engineers who work closely with customers to demonstrate the value of SAP Business Technology Platform, identify technology synergies and joint go-to-market opportunities with partners, and define the product strategies and roadmaps with SAP product teams.

Harutyun worked for a number of years as a development consultant and architect, focusing on cloud architecture, full stack development, and extension and integration of SAP solutions, while helping customers in their digital transformation around SAP cloud technologies.
